Vogelsang IP has potential

Nature, culture, education, history, conferences, leisure – Vogelsang IP is a diverse and vibrant place with potential.

Until 2005, the former National Socialist “Ordensburg” was used for military purposes. The opening of the estate to the public, on 1 January 2006, saw the beginning of the effective conversion of the history-laden site. With thirteen uses realised since then, the conversion to an International Place is already well on its way.

Vogelsang IP has three major patrons for its intended civil use: the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben, who is the owner, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the regional authorities. The Standortentwicklungsgesellschaft Vogelsang GmbH (SEV) is responsible for coordinating and presiding over the conversion process.

All developments at the estate follow a general concept and predefined guidelines. Like the already existing uses, all future projects must have a focus on historical responsibility, comply with the guidelines for the protection of listed buildings, and be compatible with national park standards.

You, too, can tap the potential of Vogelsang IP and help to shape the development of this special place with your own project. Please contact us for more information!
