Whether you want to familiarise yourself with the historical site or make a second visit, a Vogelsang IP guided tour is always recommended. Accompanied by certified guides, we offer insights into at least two historical buildings that are not freely accessible. During the 90-minute tour, you will learn a lot about the eventful history of the historic site of Vogelsang in the centre of the Eifel National Park.

Tower ascent and panorama view

From the observation platform of the 48 m high Vogelsang Tower you will have an impressive 360 ° view over both the historic location Vogelsang and the Eifel National Park.

The flanking tower of the east wing characterises Vogelsang’s image as an "Ordensburg". Originally planned as a water tower, but quickly becoming redundant, it was nevertheless an indispensable motif for power and a symbol of grandeur.

In the space of 45 minutes and after climbing 177 steep steps, our tower guides will give you an overview of the monument area and its modern-day uses, as well as the National Park and the nearby Eifel area. Caution: Even healthy persons can run out of breath here!
