Vogelsang IP views itself as an open place for all persons - and this of course includes persons with a disability or a handicap. Many of Vogelsang IP’s offers include various aids to enable use for all persons. Guide systems, multimedia guides or Braille signatures are just a few of the system components.

Free accessible parking is available during your stay at Vogelsang IP. This is situated close to the Forum Vogelsang IP. The plan (Anreise Barrierefrei.pdf) gives you an overview of car park access. From there it is approx. another 150m to the Forum.
A guide system on the floor leads the way from the bus to the Forum. The guidance system is located both outdoors and indoors, all the way to the visitor information in the Forum and to the exhibitions. For visually impaired and blind persons, tactile orientation is offered.
On the left side of the access to the Forum, you will find the floor guidance system. Follow this orientation guide to the entrance.
In the Forum Vogelsang there are several toilets with support facilities available for persons with disabilities.
In the visitor centre we have a wheelchair for loan. This can be borrowed free of charge. However, please note that we cannot always guarantee its availability. Please ask at the visitor Information.
The building complex consists of different levels. These are connected by stairs and ramps. Lifts between the exhibition levels, the entrance and the restaurant enable easy access to the floors.
There are various orientation guides in the exhibitions. The tactile guide in the interactive exhibition “Wilderness Dreams” offers visually impaired persons a tactile overview of the exhibition. The floor guidance system facilitates use of the walkways.
Touch models, Braille characters, raised letters and points of contact for the audio guide. In the permanent exhibition “Destiny: Master Race. ...” there are different forms of information.
The multimedia guide, available free of charge from the visitor information, will give explanations of the content of the interactive exhibition "Spaces and Dreams of Nature" in German sign language.
For better understanding, an induction hearing loop can be used for contact with our service staff in the visitor information.

 

Partially accessible and accessible offers

Open tours through the grounds start daily at 2:00 pm and on weekends and public holidays additionally at 11:00 am,. The paths are partially accessible. Our guides will help you to the best of their ability. Concession tickets can be bought at the visitor information. Persons accompanying the disabled with ID card supplement B receive free entry.
 
The open tour of the permanent exhibition “Destiny: Master Race. ...” also begins daily at 2:00 pm, and additionally at 11:00 am at weekends and public holidays. The tour is accessible. Concession prices also apply here. Tickets can be bought at the visitor information.
The Eifel National Park Centre’s interactive exhibition "Spaces and Dreams of Nature" includes a diverse offer for persons with disabilities. Open interactive tours, tours with sign language interpreters or individual visits with audio guides. Ask us about a suitable offer.
   

Group offers

We are happy to advise you on individual group offers, tours of the grounds or exhibition tours. Here you can choose your stay at Vogelsang IP, plan the starting times and courses and combine them with other programme points. Carriage rides, ranger tours, boat trips or bus tours through the region can be combined with a visit to Vogelsang IP and can be suitably  organised according to the needs of your group.
