The K13 guest house and the neighbouring K14 were closed on 28 February 2026 following the cessation of operations. Both buildings were taken over by the North Rhine-Westphalia Youth Red Cross. They are currently being converted into a new youth education centre. The date of the reopening has not yet been announced.
The campsite, only accessible via hiking trails, offers a direct nature experience. A wooden platform can accommodate up to two tents, and a compost toilet is available. Combined with other nature campsites it provides a unique and completely independent hiking experience.
